Therapy Cap Exception Extended
Congress passed the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 which extends the Therapy cap exception process through 2013. It increased the MPPR to 50% across all settings, which is an increase from 25% for us. The MPPR is an adjustment to Part B therapy revenue in a nursing facility. The therapy department and billing departments need to know these two things. This information may affect the beneficiary notices this week due to the extended exception period. We will provide more on this as it is announced.
