The purpose of this three-day course is to take a deep dive into the role of the Director of Nursing (DON).  The DON role is very complex and provides administrative leadership on many levels including but not limited to: staffing and employee development, provisions of care, regulatory compliance, and establishing and maintaining standards of practice.  During this course, we will take an in-depth look at external regulations, survey management and compliance strategies, internal and external oversight, clinical communication, and how to leverage the RAI process in promoting regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and most importantly resident care. DIA will join us to provide an overview of any updates and trends related to the new survey process.

This course is designed for DONs at all levels or nurse manager(s) within your facility and will provide a hands-on and interactive learning environment.
