PPE Opportunities Identified by the State

LAI, IHCA, IDPH, and the Iowa Department of Emergency Management met today to discuss PPE acquisition challenges and potential PPE opportunities.  The state shared the following list of vendors, outside of the major medical suppliers, who they have had success securing PPE from:

Important to note, the state has a master agreement with 10 of these vendors and non-profits are eligible to leverage the state’s master agreement.  This has been successfully done to secure supplies for the Opioid crisis.  The Department of Emergency Management will connect LAI with someone within state government who can provide details on how non-profits can access the state’s master agreements with these businesses.  LAI will share the information with members as soon as it is known. 

For reference, the state has Master Agreements with Fastenal, Fisher Scientific, Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, Office Depot, Safeware, Sink Paper & Packaging, and WW Grainger.  For the other companies on the list above not covered by a master agreement, the state recommends that providers google and contact them directly to try and secure PPE.
