The Future Ready Iowa goal is to have 70 percent of Iowans with education and training beyond high school by 2025.
Registered Apprenticeships For employers, starting a Registered Apprenticeship Program means you’ll build a talented workforce equipped with the skills that specifically fit your workplace. Registered Apprenticeship programs are valuable models that employers can use to recruit and develop well-trained workers in highly skilled occupations.
Child Care Business Incentive Grant The Child Care Business Incentive Grant Program, in conjunction with Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) and the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is targeted at helping employers offer or expand child care options as a benefit to their employees. Funds support local infrastructure investments to build or expand child care capacity, or support arrangements between employers and child care facilities to expand and reserve child care slots. Proposals for the current round of funding are due November 3. SkillBridge SkillBridge is a valuable program through the Department of Defense designed to help transitioning service members bridge the gap between military service and civilian careers. SkillBridge facilitates opportunities for eligible service members to participate in job training, apprenticeships, or internships during their last 180 days of active duty. |
